Inspired.
I am feeling on top of the world today - it's been one of those days where everything has gone right. In fact, I've had a quite of these days lately! I'm constantly being inspired an excited by what is happening around me, the projects that I'm involved with, and how my plans are starting to take shape. There really is nothing better than getting things done.
Here's some more fabulous inspiration for all you lovely readers, taken from johnnys bird...

Desperately Seeking Summer...
Glastonbury sunrises, Ibiza sunsets, secret waterfalls, beach campfires, blissful Yorkshire countryside. And that's just the start of it. There's nothing I love more than that gorgeous smell of summer and the optimism that seems to come with it. The days are long and the plans are endless, such a contrast from the current dull grey skies. Ahhhh, only 6 more months...

Spring Wardrobe
Since finishing my exams on Monday I have been indulging a little bit too much - but I figured I deserved a treat after all that stress, right? And of course, Fashion Week is just around the corner... 4 weeks and counting! Hooray. (Just realised how neutral all of these colours are - better get back to the shops and inject some bright hues!)

Tourist
Some of my favourite images from Tourist Magazine, my new obsession.
I love the light in these shots, it makes me so excited for the arrival of spring. I'm growing increasingly bored of the dark nights and dull rain.

February
Now I'm not usually one to wish the time away, but I'm so excited about February that I really can't help it! First off, me and the lovely Alice from Fashion and Circus will be spending a couple of weekends down in London doing some scouting and buying on behalf of Paper Scissor Stone! The first weekend will be spent at PURE trading show and the second at the one and only LFW. One of our main tasks will be to check out all of the new emerging talent, scout hot new labels and make decisions on what will fit with the style of the store which I'm so excited about. I can't wait to see what we discover! Then on the 24th of February, the fabulous RAG Fashion Show that I'm on the committee for will be taking place! A team of over 20 of us have been auditioning models, scouring stores, styling, choreographing, publicising and fundraising for the event since so November and we're so pleased at how it's coming along. I know that it'll all come together perfectly on the night and I can't wait to watch the models in action. You can keep up to date with all the happenings here - we decided such an exciting event needed it's very own dedicated blog!
So now, of course, all of this excitement has left me with absolutely no room in my head for economics revision or dissertation writing. My head is filled with schedules and publicity ideas and plans for cramming the most into our trips to the capital. I spent at least ten minutes of my marketing exam today considering what items in my wardrobe would make the most practical yet stylish outfits. January is gonna be a long month...

Caffeine
My sincerest apologies for being completely rubbish with blogging this week! My head is all awash with rubbish exam stuff and job applications and plans for when academia related hell is over. I seriously can't wait to wake up and not require a caffeine hit to function! Anyway, I promise a much bigger, better and well thought out post after my exam on Tuesday - expect some exciting life updates including fashion show news! For now, Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony... my heart skipped a beat when I saw these absolute BEAUTIES on ASOS...

Grunge
As the days at the library get longer, I'm trying to tell myself that my new unkempt appearance can be passed off as grunge revival rather than simply looking like I haven't got time to wash my hair (which I haven't!). I'm not sure how convincing it is though - I don't think Kate needs to worry about me stealing her crown anytime soon.
Here's some nice, dirty grunge inspiration to make me feel less guilty about being ridiculously low maintenance for a week or two...
Drew/Courtney/Alice/Jonny & Kate
All grunge icons in their own respect. Raid your boyfriend's wardrobe for oversized, washed out band tees, rock the leather, don't worry about ladders in your tights, go overboard and smudgy with the eyeliner and VOILA, you too can be a grunge queen.
P.S. I'm trying to grow out my fringe - does anyone have any tips?

Hats Off
So, my first blog post of 2011 - happy new year, lovely readers! I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating it. I spent it with my boyfriend and some of my lovely friends, drinking too much and dancing a plenty. I feel as though I've only just fully recovered and the detox has officially begun! I'm also supposed to be getting stuck into some revision as I've got three exams coming up in the next couple of weeks but I thought I'd take a break and do a post seeing as I've been a bit M.I.A. the past few days.
Hats - regrettably they look completely awful on me. It's such a shame as I think they can complete an outfit in a way no other accessory can, but my head is just not the right shape or size to do them justice. Siiiiigh. But here's some lovely images of the ones I'd be coveting if I did...
