ON MY MIND.

A collection of things that have been occupying my mind this week...

1)

I stumbled upon the wonderful fromupnorth.com earlier this week and have spent hours and hours trawling through the Inspiration Galleries. Beautiful design and genius advice.

2)

I watched Where the Wild Things Are for the first time last night and it was just absolutely stunning. I could not have hoped that the book of my childhood would be executed so perfectly. If you haven't already seen it - GO GO GO!

3)

I'm having a wonderful summer here in England, but I'm still desperate to get away for a little jaunt before I start my real-world job in September. This week my thoughts have turned to Paris, and I can't help dreaming about eating macaroons in the sun and drinking champagne at the Moulin Rouge. Ahhhh.

SUNSHINE.

The weather is amazing in Leeds today, and the sunlight is streaming through every crack. I'm gonna make the most of it by donning my Jil Sanders-esque bright maxi skirt and drinking margaritas in the sun. HELL YEAH!

ONE DAY LIKE THIS.

Hey there readers! In between Glastonbury recovery, moving house, going back to work and doing some celebrating, I've managed to find some time to compile a haphazard blogpost for you all. Glastonbury was amazing - there was mud, scorching sun, Shangri La, amazing pies, booty shaking to Beyonce and plenty of Somerset cider. I also found out that I got a 2.1 in my degree while watching Elbow smash it on the Pyramid stage - incredible. Now I'm home, all moved into my summer rent and ready for some sunny merriment. Thankfully the weather has had the same idea.

FIELD OF DREAMS.

This week has been hectic. 52 hours at work, packing in preparation moving out and an epic house clean. The only thing that's kept me going is the ever growing excitement for Glastonbury. Come Wednesday, me and an assortment of my favourite people in the world will be heading to Worthy Farm for 5 days of amazing music and sheer hedonism. Let's just hope the weather behaves like it did last year!

OLD OLD FASHIONED.

"I'll try to be more romantic, I want to believe in everything you believe"

BOUDOIR.

In a couple of weeks I'll be leaving my beloved student house and hunting for a much classier and cleaner flat in the city centre. It's got me daydreaming about bedroom decorating and cushion buying. When it comes to bedrooms, I'm all for bright and airy and delightfully cosy. Think of this post as my visual mood board for creating the perfect boudoir.

SUNDAY READING.

Since finishing my degree, I've had much more time for the more pleasurable things in life, like napping and watching Nip Tuck boxsets. It's also seen the return of my most favourite time of the week - lazy Sundays. Today's has included snoozing away my hangover, popping in to town for an epic roast dinner, and catching up with all the lovely blogs that I missed in the fashion hiatus that was exam period. I thought it would be nice to compile a little blogpost featuring all my daily faves, so here goes!

The lovely Alice of Fashion&Circus has been my fellow intern at Paper Scissor Stone this year, and we've had a ball organising fashion shows and photo shoots and galavanting to London for fashion week and buying trips. She's now crossed the pond and is interning with Nylon magazine in New York (!!!) before heading to Sydney come September to intern with Russh magazine (again - !!!) and so as well as heading to her blog to see what she's up to, she's officially become my number 1 go-to for fashion inspiration from the other side of the world. Check Fashion&Circus out for a healthy dose of amazing images, amusing tales and an intense jealousy surge.

Big City Little Shoes is another blog that I like to think of as a fountain of inspiration. With images to make your heart flutter, amusing musings and plenty of substance, it's always lovely to have a nosey around Catherine's lovely blog. Insights into her work prove she's an extremely talented lady, and I'm also led to believe she creates her own jewellery. Proof that some ladies really do have it all!

Color Me Nana is the fashion diary of the wonderfully self-styled Dylana. Documenting her impeccable outfits and the work she does as a stylist for Free People, her blog is always my number one spot for inspiration when my own style ideas run a little dry. Check out her blog and be ready to see your wardrobe in a whole new way.

OVERHAUL

The past few months have been hectic, but I have finally finished my degree. Just when I thought the dissertation days and the exam hell would never end, they're gone, and now I have the world waiting at my feet.

It's the start of a whole new chapter in my life. Lot's of exciting things are happening, stay tuned.

Frolic.

I'm running away to the seaside at the weekend for some much needed relaxation and I can't wait. Keep your fingers crossed for some sunshine - I'm so loving dressing for spring instead of the heavy layers of winter.

RESURRECTION.

1) The lovely Alice of Fashion & Circus and I at Drapers Inspiring Independents Party, 2) Alice snapping away at Somerset House, 3) Front row at Georgia Hardinge, 4) Leeds Uni RAG Fashion Show, 5) Anticipating photographers at LFW, 6) A well deserved champagne break, 7) Buyers pass at Pure.

So, where have I been the past few months then? I've been scouting out new labels at PURE on behalf of Paper Scissor Stone, swanning around our first London Fashion Week with Alice of Fashion & Circus and organising the Leeds Uni RAG Fashion Show. I've also been jumping out of a plane, securing a graduate job for next year (eek), celebrating numerous friends birthdays, and trying my very best to write a dissertation and revise for finals. Pretty busy I'm sure you can see. But I'm back! Hooray.

Forgive me

I have been a bad blogger. My days have been long and dull and mostly spent at the library, but fear not, this weekend marks the beginning of a fortnight of heavenly sartorial havoc and you lovely readers will be the first to hear all about it. I've stocked up on flu remedies, vitamin C tablets, blister plasters, energy drinks and every other possible ailment prevention/cure to ensure that I can devote every drop of my excitement and energy to all the wonderful upcoming happenings, from LFW to the RAG Fashion Show to this weekend at Pure Trading Show. Nothing less than fashion fortnight deserves, I'm sure you'll agree!

In any case, I'll be in London on Valentine's Day, so thought I would send some love out now. Have a wonderful day, coupled or not, and take the opportunity to channel the romantic trend set to be so big for S/S '11...
