Soon 2010 will be over and we'll be ringing in 2011.
Just some images that make me think about fresh starts and new plans. I'm so excited for what 2011 will hold - have any of you made any resolutions yet?

Circus
Every year on Boxing night, the nightlife in the town where I live becomes strictly fancy dress. That's right, thousands of people hit the bars in clubs dressed as everything and anything - I've seen giant babies, Mr Motivator and Shrek all in one night before! This year my friends and I have decided to adopt a circus theme, taking inspiration from the images below...

Twas the night before Christmas...
And I am excited! For me, Christmas Eve is all about my family, too much food and classic films, so I'm signing off until Boxing Day. I hope Santa is very kind to you all and that you are all blessed with health and happiness over the holidays. I thought I'd leave you all with the iconic Hepburn and Santa, she looks as happy as I feel!

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony - S/S '11
Two of my all time fashion faves once again collide for another wonderful collection. That's right - Opening Ceremony and Chloe Sevigny. Can I get an overdraft extension please?

Leather and leopard print, patterned tights and platforms, shift dresses and cropped tops. This Chloe/OC combo is ticking all my boxes.

Winter Solstice
Today is the shortest day of the year. That means from here on in the days keep getting longer and spring keeps getting closer. So I thought this was the perfect opportunity to start getting excited about the new trends sent down the S/S 2011 catwalks and which ones I'll be sporting in the new year...
Burberry have once again achieved the sense of effortless elegance and I absolutely love Jaeger's modern take on the classic trench - and isn't the colour just perfect?
First things first, I'm going to be investing in a trench coat to get me through what will more than likely be a rainy spring (my own fault for choosing to live in Leeds...?)
Burberry
Jaeger
Next, I'll be stocking up on the bold, neon block colours - seen on practically every other runway and perfect for making a statement.
Maria Grachvogel
Layer them one on top of another Jil Sander style or choose one attention demanding shade and make a song and dance about it just like Grachvogel.
My final S/S 2011 tip for today is metallics. They were everywhere, but in my opinion, House of Holland hit all the right notes for me. Metallic pleated mini skirt - how much better can you get?
House of Holland
The perfect way to work the luxe metallic look whilst remaining fun and fresh. Love it. Ahhhh, this was definitely what I needed to help my snow induced style slum. Bring on spring.

Yes Please
We first saw this look sent down the catwalk by Marc Jacobs for his A/W '10 show and now it's everywhere. Yep, I'm taking about the chiffon maxi skirt and chunky knit jumper combo. Flattering, stylish, warm and ever so elegant, what more could you want?

Snow Business
Yesterday saw me shooting across the Pennines to come home for Christmas. My family were panicking that I'd end up snowed in Leeds so I decided to head back a day early. It's so good to be home and the snow is unreal - I can't wait to play out in it! I thought I'd share the winter warmer promo video I styled and directed for Paper Scissor Stone, the store where I intern. This was on the first day of snow, before the roads were closed and my garden resembled a scene from a Christmas movie...
Our lovely model, Amanda, didn't complain once about the freezing temperatures and we had plenty of fun shooting. Check out Paper Scissor Stone for the lovely coat and accessories, and plenty more!

I absolutely love this look by Leighton Meester - a man's suit from Thom Browne, tailored so perfectly for her tiny frame. She pulls it off so perfectly and I especially love the slicked back hair. Definitely something I'll be trying out soon!

All Work, No Play
Today I have my first graduate job interview. I can't believe it's time to start looking for "grown-up" jobs already, my three years at university have quite literally flown by. In the theme of work, here's the workwear I'll be coveting when I hopefully become employed next summer...
Zara, Celine, Chanel, Chloe.
A little unrealistic perhaps? Maybe, but hey, a girl can dream!

Beginning.
I've spent the whole morning trying to think of a good way to start this blog; a witty one liner or a philosophical quote. But I seem to be drawing a blank. So instead let me show you a snippet of my inspiration, the girls with endless style and attitude that I will forever hope to emulate.
Chloe, Kate, Lily & Debbie.
